Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>A system valve is a facility that is fitted to a pipeline or orifice in which the closure member is either rotated or moved transversely or longitudinally in the waterway so as to control or stop the flow. System valves are used to regulate pressure, isolate, throttle flow, revent backflow, and relieve pressure. System valve types include Gate, Plug, Ball, Cone, and Butterfly. This point feature class identifies the approximate locations of water reclaimation system valves in the existing City of Oceanside's water reuse system owned, operated, and maintained by the Water Utilities Department and private water distribution pipe lines that connect into the City's system. All feature locations and attributes are maintained by the Water Utilities- Geographic Information System (GIS) division and are derived from input from the City field crew as well as various engineering and construction exhibits (e.g. As Built, Development Drawings, Subdivision Drawings, etc.). The City of Oceanside has no maintenance responsibility for private water reclaimation lines.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
